We are pleased to introduce the New Matter Form in Core, designed to streamline the new matter opening process.

New and improved Matter Opening Form in Core, designed to replace the NMFV40 PowerApps form

 

How do I access?

 

You can access the new matter opening form in Core by navigating to the ‘Matters’ menu, selecting 'New Matter,' and then 'Add New Matter' or follow this link 

 

Feature highlights

 

  • Form organisation and validation: The form is divided into easy-to-navigate sections with informational prompts.
  • Client risk assessment: Alerts will notify you if a client is marked as high risk.
  • Matter title validation: The form checks for duplicate matter titles to prevent submission until a unique title is provided.
  • Practice area and solicitor selection: Automatic selection of practice area and responsible solicitor with options to override; grouped solicitor list for easy selection.
  • Rate management: Automatic pulling of client rates with options for non-standard rates requiring approval.
  • Contact integration: Integration with CRM to pull client contacts, reducing manual entry and errors.
  • Transaction and financial details: User-friendly navigation with dynamic branched questions based on inputs.
  • Counterparty management: Structured capture of counterparty details for conflict checks and improved data accuracy.
  • Risk assessment: With guidance and prompts for enhanced due diligence.
  • Compliance and conflict checks: Tracks the status of compliance and conflict checks with clear overviews.
  • Save drafts and return later: Ability to save draft matters and return to complete later.
  • Review screen: Convenient review screen to check all entered details.
  • Progress tracking: Status now visible, showing the completion status of conflict and other compliance checks and when the matter moves to the Opening stage, for transparency.
