Billing in Core: An introduction

We are pleased to introduce the new Billing feature in Core, designed to streamline the billing process.

What's new?

Work in Progress (WIP) Screen

• Review Work in Progress: Access the Billing WIP screen to review all work ahead of the next billing run.
• Search Functionality: Search by Client, Date, Service Plan.
• Client Information Display: View Client Rate, subscription fee, accrued unused hours, number of matters, hours recorded, and amount due.
• Billing Notes: Yellow note icon indicates an added billing note. Hover to view the note.
• Filters: Filter clients by those with billing notes and/or non-standard rates.
• Invoice Generation: Select clients from the list at month-end for invoicing.

Billing Runs Section

• Completed Runs Overview: View details of completed billing runs including date, number of invoices sent, subscription fees, discounts, and total amount billed.

• Filtering Options: Filter by Client name, Service plan, and Invoice status.
• Sorting Capability: Sort the list as needed.
• Detailed View: Select a Client for detailed invoice information.

Invoice edit screen

• Review and adjust draft invoices.

• Timesheets Tab:
  • Review timesheet entries.
  • Deselect or write off individual entries if necessary.
• Disbursements Tab:
  • Review and add disbursements to draft invoices.
• Accrued Hours Tab:
  • View calculation and adjustments for accrued hours.
  • See associated Child Companies sharing accrued hours credit from the parent client.
