This guide will demonstrate how to save to Matters within the DMS without requiring the Matter number.
- Open Google Chrome, either by clicking on it in the Taskbar or searching for it in the Windows Search Bar.
- This will open Chrome and take you to the Harper James Portal Homepage. If it doesn’t here is the link for the homepage: https://inhousesolicitors004.sharepoint.com/SiteAssets/EponaMC/Pages/Default.aspx
- If you are searching for a matter, you are already subscribed to click ‘My matters’, if you are searching for a matter, you are not subscribed to click ‘All matters’.
- Next, search for the matter by name, matter ID, or keyword within the search bar provided. You do not need the matter ID to find a matter. Usually, the matter name or company name is enough to get you to the matter you wish to find and be subscribed to.
- Once you type in the key details of the matter into the search bar, press Enter. This will produce a list of matters which relate to the key words you inputted into the search bar, from there look through the list in order to find the matter you wish to find and subscribe to said matter if needed.
- From here click on the matter you’d like to save to and click ‘Open Matter’
- This will open the matter you’d like to save documents to. If you’d like to save a document, select the ‘Document’ subfolder.
- From here, select the ‘Upload’ button at the top of the screen and a drop down will appear.
- Select ‘Files’ to find the document you’d like to save within your File Explorer.
- When clicking ‘Files’ a pop up of your File Explorer shall appear. Traverse to the section of File Explorer where you saved your document and double click it to save it within the matter.
- This will upload the document to the matter. If there are multiple documents, you’d like to upload repeat steps 8 through 11.
- Once all documents are uploaded scroll through the matter folder to check that they have been uploaded. After this your documents have been saved to the matter.
If you have any issues with the above steps, please contact helpdesk@hjsolicitors.co.uk and we will guide you through the process.
