How to schedule a Teams meeting
This guide will demonstrate how to schedule a Teams meeting in a simple step-by-step manner.
- Click on the Teams icon in your taskbar or search for Teams using the Windows search bar and open Teams.
- Then once on Teams, click on ‘Calendar’ on the sub-menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Then select ‘+ New Meeting’.
- Give your meeting a title. Decide on a date and time. Add any additional details that your meeting may require. To make a recurring meeting, select the ‘Does not repeat’ dropdown and choose whether you want the meeting to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, or customise a cadence.
- Type in the names of individual attendees, or select ‘Add channel’ to select a team channel to meet in. When you add a channel, all members of that channel are able to join the meeting. Also, all resources shared, and any recordings taken during the meeting are saved in the channel.
- Take a moment to review your meeting details. Then select ‘Send’. This adds the meeting to your calendar and the others you included in the meeting’s calendars.
- Once that has been sent your meeting has been scheduled. You can check the time of the meeting in ‘Calendar’ and make edits and adjustments in name, time or frequency if necessary.
